Would you know if the Earth was needed or better left off? Do you know which
way the current is flowing and why there is a positive and negative in AC
current. You may not know what properly realy is when it comes to fitting
the plug.
As for police drivers they are trained for 6/7 weeks with a pencil jabbed in
their thigh or the back of the hand every time they make the slightest
mistake at the extremes of what is possible. They are taught to drive a lot
closer than the domestic motorist and they are even taught to overtake at
junctions in certain circumstances. The highway code does not tell you how
to jump red lights, drive up one way streets the wrong way or nip down
pedestrian precincts. You wont see it written down anywhere how to push a
car off the road or to turn 180 degs and push off sharpish when things are
not what they are supposed to be.
They do make mistakes as well but they know it. Some lesser trained in
smaller vehicles leave a lot to be desired but no where near so much is
asked of them.
