It's important to remember, before you trust your life in any bit of NHS
equipment, that the contract went to the lowest bidder.

The ambulance service was attracted to the lower cost of the 3.5 tonners.
Lower training fees as well, as staff didn't need C1 categories on their
licences.  After five years in service, someone put one on a weighbridge and
discovered (that when fully loaded) they exceeded the maximum allowable
mass.
