BTW, did Optolyth ever (/do they still) make alternative
eyepieces for the 30x75 - any idea?
I was considering either a zoom or simply a higher
magnification eyepiece - I dunno maybe x60?
It looks like they now make only a 25x70BGA (950g)
or else the much heavier x80BGA range (1390g).

I imagine there must be covers that you can keep them in to
keep the worst of the rain off, whilst you use them, no?
