Two nukes to put an end to the second world war, where millions had
already died and millions more would die. War isn't pretty you know.
And remember, World War 2 wasn't started by the U.S. but by Europe.

Where's your proof? It's true that the US has sided with Saddam in
the war against Iran, and with the Taliban in the war against the
Soviets. It's all about our strategy at the time, sometime you pick
the better of two evils. In hindsight, I think choosing the Taliban
over the Soviets was a good decision, it brought the cold war to an
end. However, we should have followed up on that in the 1990's and
arrested Osama under Clinton.

With certain civilizations, you have no choice. The children have
bombs strapped to their chest. You seem to blame the U.S. for
responding to a totally inhumane way of carrying out war through
terrorism. I don't think it's the U.S.'s fault for countries and
governments that choose that path, but the U.S. must respond to it.
