Well, if you're going to be pedantic, be better at it.
Herpetology concerns TWO classes: Reptilia and Amphibia, both, as you point
it, in the phylum Chordata.
And since the class Aves should arguably be within the class Reptilia, I
guess this is sort of relevant to rec.birds.
