Since you are so keen on saving weight, and 'Extreme' hillwalking', why not
just dispense with the binoculars and walk closer to whatever you want to
see? :-^
Slightly more helpfully, Swarovski have some new, smaller bins (smaller than
the 10x42 or8.5x42, that is) coming out soon don't they? I imagine they
might take the 2x adaptor - or are they already out and the ones you are
talking about?
