They used their magic to lie, they were no longer 'true'.

They lost their innocence the day they turned their backs.

Better to have never closed ranks. If those that lied, the humans being
the worse, were innate with falsehood did they come from a pure honest
and open garden? How could this have been?

Is falsehood stronger than honesty?
