It is common to encounter such statements as "no creed but the bible".
If someone could come to the Bible with a clean slate in their mind,
they could pretty well ignore creeds and confessions. But, who comes
to the Bible with a clear, unbiased mind? No one.
The major problem develops when what is actually happening is, the one
who disparages the ancient creeds and confessions by insisting, "no
creed but the Bible"; comes with their own heretical creed that they
wish to impose upon others without admitting it is a creed.
False prophets indeed can come across as angels of light, so pure and
holy. Beware when you find yourself being separated from the historic
faith by so-called 'bible teachers'.
If I have used "Signature" correctly, I should have an enhanced
signature indicating my faith stance so others may know my views.
